Toit relevable ; Pop-up cabin

Après de longues hésitations je me suis décidé pour un toit relevable comme on peut en trouver sur les Edel en France et les "Broad boats" en Angleterre, avec un capot coulissant intégré.

After a lot of thinking I decided to build a pop-up cabin with a sliding hatch integrated.

Il ne reste plus qu'à poser un capot coulissant et toute la mécanique de relevage, ce qui n'est pas le plus simple à faire !

Almost done, I just need to add a sliding hatch and fit the mechanical parts to lift it, but it is not the easiest thing to do !

Pont en teck : Teak deck

J'ai toujours admiré les ponts en teck et là j'ai l'occasion de passer du rêve à la réalité.

J'ai trouvé 8 m2 de teck en solde en lattes de 12 x 70 mm en longueurs variables de 30 à 120cm.

J'ai juste modifié l'assemblage par rainure et languette en assemblage par feuillure pour obtenir une rainure de 7 mm de large et 7 de profondeur.

Le revêtement est posé parallèlement à l'axe du bateau sans vis donc immobilisé par des poids pendant la prise de colle ( SIKA 298) ce qui ne permet pas de poser plus de 2 ou 3 lattes par jour.

I am fond of teak deck and I am really happy since I got the opportunity to fit one on my sailboat.

I found in a wharehouse 8 square meters of floor teak on sale in size :

1/2 " x 3" and length from 1' to 4' 

I just modified the tongue and groove to a rabbet of 7x 7 mm.

I chose a straight-laid deck fitted without screws using only weights during bonding (sika 298), this method allowing to fit only 2 or 3 planks a day.

Les joints faits avec un produit pour pièces humides étaient très beaux au départ mais en séchant ils  ont rétrécis, se sont creusés et j'ai pris la décision de tous les refaire.

Je suis alors passé au Sikaflex 11FC et c'est nickel chrome.

Caulking was made with a special product for wet room floors and was beautiful the first day but after drying the seal had contracted and the appearance was not pleasant so I decided to do it all over. I cleaned all the grooves and I made a new caulking using Sikaflex 11FC and this time I am very happy with the result.
